INTERESTED IN BEING A COUNSELOR?

Day Camp Sunshine is a non-denominational camp which seeks to reach children and teens with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Weekly attendance is about 300 campers. We hire approximately 60 counselors and support staff. It is a challenging and rewarding summer. As a staff member you will have the opportunity to minister to children while developing deeper relationships with other staff and with God.

Summer Positions:

Counselors lead the children throughout the day. Among other responsibilities, they teach Bible studies and electives, and assist with activities. They must be at least 18 years old. Starting salary is $275/week.

Counselors in Training develop their skills in leadership by assisting counselors in ministering to the children. They must be at least 15 years old.

Volunteers assist in overall camp activities and programming. Must attend Orientation Week and be available to volunteer at least two weeks during the camp program. They must be at least 15 years old.

Lifeguards supervise all swimming and boating activities and must have current CPR, Standard First Aid, and Lifesaving Certifications. Starting pay is $9/hour for part-time positions. Full-time salaried positions are also available.

Leadership Team positions include Manager; Middler Camp (grades 1-3) Manager; Senior Camp (grades 5-6) Manager; Teen Camp (grades 7 – 10) Worship/Drama Leader; and First Aid Director; . They assist with supervision of staff and overall management of the camp and its activities. Previous camp experience and college degree are preferred. Starting salary is $385/week.
